Since people are the most organic and dynamic resource of any organization, it behoves all managers to unleash their leadership influence to direct people towards optimum performance. Of all the resources of an organization, human resource represents a unique resource in that no organization can own it but with proper leadership. An organization can nurture and retain its human resources. Through proper leadership, the members of the organization can be stimulated to contribute towards value creation within the organization. it is unfortunate however, that Nigerian corporate organizations have not generally performed optimally within the last two decades, due to the passive practice of mamaging organisation without applying effective leadership.
